Before partnering with Dana Zurbuchen, LLC, this client’s marketing program was what could be considered “industry standard.” It included sports radio advertising (targeting men), local print ads without a consistent brand image, an annual yellow pages contract, a website presence that needed to be updated as well as other marketing tools.

Our team uncovered missed opportunities, including:

  • targeting women (a significant influence on purchasing)
  • targeting an already Green area of the country by sharing the environmental benefits of saving energy through insulation upgrades
  • consolidating media spending on fewer stations to achieve a greater impact with each audience
  • increasing online exposure to put their name in front of potential clients when they are researching the category

The sales results were dramatic. While the industry slid, this client achieved a 20% gross sales increase in 2008 and 10% retrofit  sales increase (reinsulation of existing homes) in 2009.
